As a 50/50 joint venture between Sony and Honda, SHM was established in Japan on September 28th, 2022, with over 200 employees in Tokyo. Sony Honda Mobility of America, situated in Culver City, California, was established in March 2023, where our dedicated team is working on introducing the electric vehicle, AFEELA, to the market. Position Summary
SHMA is looking for a Supply Chain Operations Planning and Development Lead. This role is responsible for developing the supply chain processes including Logistics and Sales processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, and collaboration with internal stakeholders as well as various 3rd party partners to meet business objectives.
Job Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Strategies: Create and execute supply chain operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain activities with business goals.

Partner Management: Manage relationships with partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure the procurement of high-quality services.

Logistics Development: Lead as a project member related to the development of seamless and cost-effective logistics operations.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as inventory turnover and on-time delivery, to identify areas for improvement.

Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.

Technology Integration: Evaluate and recommend supply chain technologies, such as ERP and WMS systems, to streamline operations.

Leadership and Development: Lead cross-functional teams and projects, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Qualifications for Position

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on planning and development.

Experience building and implementing new processes and flows in a fast paced and customer centric environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in supply chain software and tools (e.g., SAP, JDA).

Ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly and efficiently, ultimately contributing to the company's success.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $100,000 - $135,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
