Position Summary
We are seeking highly skilled professionals for the roles of AD/ADAS Validation Engineer / Engineering Lead to test and validate Autonomous Driving (AD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on vehicles. The ideal candidates will play a critical role in developing, testing, and validating AD/ADAS technologies while collaborating with global teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of ADAS systems on vehicles.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with global development teams to ensure successful integration and delivery of high-quality ADAS systems.
- Driving Operations: Perform and oversee driving operations for ADAS-equipped vehicles.
- Data Collection: Support ADAS development by participating in and managing data collection activities.
- Facility Management: Maintain and manage the ADAS development facility to support ongoing projects.
- Outsourcing Coordination: Coordinate with outsourcing partners for vehicle operations and testing.
- Team Leadership (if applicable): Lead and mentor the ADAS validation team as needed to achieve project goals and foster team growth.
Qualifications for Position
Required
- 3–5 years of experience in development and validation within the automotive industry.
- Strong background in embedded software development, ideally in automotive, robotics, or drone technologies, with a solid understanding of embedded systems principles.
- Proficiency in software development on Linux platforms.
- Hands-on experience with autonomous driving or ADAS technologies.
- Availability to work on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred
- Expertise with sensors such as cameras, radar, and lidar.
- Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS) for software development.
- Project management experience in large-scale system development.
- Proven experience managing and leading teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
