Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc, based in Culver City, CA, is a subsidiary of Sony Honda Mobility Inc headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. As a 50/50 joint venture between Sony and Honda, SHM was established in Japan on September 28th, 2022, with over 200 employees in Tokyo. Sony Honda Mobility of America, situated in Culver City, California, was established in March 2023, where our dedicated team is working on introducing the electric vehicle, AFEELA, to the market. AFEELA embodies the essence of "FEEL," central to the mobility experience, fostering an interactive relationship where people "FEEL" mobility as an intelligent entity, and mobility reciprocates by "FEELing" people and society through sensing and network IT technologies. Position Summary
As a Sales Specialist, you will be a key player in driving AFEELA’s market penetration by engaging with customers, partners, and industry leaders to showcase our unique value proposition. This role requires a deep understanding of EV technology, consumer preferences, and entertainment integration in vehicles. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking sales professional with experience in the EV sector and a passion for cutting-edge in-car entertainment and mobility solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to meet or surpass AFEELA’s annual sales objectives.
- Build relationships with potential buyers and key stakeholders in the EV and entertainment sectors.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations that highlight AFEELA’s innovative features, including its advanced EV capabilities and in-car entertainment system.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to position AFEELA effectively in the market.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop sales materials, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Represent SHMA at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagement activities.
- Provide feedback from customers and partners to help refine product offerings and sales strategies.
- Assist in developing training materials and onboarding programs for dealership partners.
Qualifications for Position
Required
- 3+ years of experience in automotive sales, preferably in the EV industry.
- Strong knowledge of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and sustainability trends.
- Experience or strong interest in in-car entertainment systems, digital media, and interactive technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate customers on complex technology.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients and industry leaders.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for innovation and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, events, and training session
Preferred
- Experience in the entertainment, gaming, or digital media industry.
- Familiarity with connected car technologies and software-driven vehicle platforms.
- Multilingual skills are a plus, particularly in Japanese or Spanish.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $100,000-$120,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
