Sony Honda Mobility of America Inc, based in Culver City, CA, is a subsidiary of Sony Honda Mobility Inc headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced automotive finance professional to lead the development of our OEM vehicle financing program. This role is crucial in negotiating with banks and captive lenders to establish leasing and loan structures. The ideal candidate will bring a lender’s perspective to complement our OEM sales expertise and will play a pivotal role in shaping pricing, residual values, and monthly payment strategies for our vehicles, which come with subscription-based ownership models and value-added services like insurance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and launch OEM auto leasing and financing programs in partnership with banks and captive lenders.
  • Negotiate with financial institutions to structure competitive lease and loan terms, including APR incentives and residual values.
  • Manage financial KPIs for leasing, monitor market trends, and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Optimize financing and payment structures for subscription-based automotive products and value-added services (e.g., insurance).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing teams to align financing solutions with business objectives.
  • Analyze market data to refine vehicle leasing strategies and ensure competitive financing options.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive finance regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications for Position

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in OEM automotive finance, vehicle leasing, or captive finance.
  • Industry experience with luxury or premium automotive brands preferred.
  • Expertise in auto financing programs, including loan underwriting, lease structuring, and pricing analysis.
  • Proven experience in negotiating with banks, lenders, and financial institutions to develop vehicle lease and loan programs.
  • Strong knowledge of captive finance strategies, APR incentives, residual value analysis, and payment structures.
  • Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills to optimize financing programs and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience working on the bank side of automotive financing.
  • Familiarity with subscription-based vehicle ownership models and value-added financial products.
  • MBA or finance-related degree (preferred but not required).

Additional Details

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required, primarily local.
  • Schedule: Standard work hours with occasional need for evening or weekend meetings.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120,000-$160,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
