Position Summary

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) is seeking a Marketing Partnerships Specialist who thrives at the intersection of in-person customer experiences and digital marketing execution. This multifaceted role is designed for a driven, marketing-savvy professional who brings experience in brand partnerships, marketing operations, and event management to help shape the AFEELA ownership journey.

You’ll collaborate with the Marketing Partnerships team to support and execute critical deliverables across events, CRM, email, earned media, paid marketing, social media, and the web. A significant portion of your time will involve national and international travel to support marketing activations—ensuring AFEELA vehicles are properly installed, operated, and presented. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious about how our prototype and production vehicles function, and comfortable finding real-time solutions during marketing activations.

This role is perfect for someone with prior experience in automotive events or brand partnerships—especially those who understand the importance of a 360° marketing plan and want to contribute to a premium, customer-centric brand experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute and track marketing partnership deliverables across media, events, CRM/email, paid marketing, and digital platforms.
  • Serve as a bridge between customer-facing insights and internal marketing initiatives to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate timelines, assets, and communications between SHMA and external partners or agencies.
  • Support project management of partnership events and activations in collaboration with agency partners.
  • Monitor campaign performance and milestone tracking across assigned programs.
  • Assist with the logistics, maintenance, and demonstration support for the marketing vehicle fleet.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, digital, and retail teams to propose technology-driven solutions that enhance customer acquisition and conversion.
  • Ensure vehicle installs/deinstalls are executed flawlessly at events and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.

Required Qualifications for Position

  • 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in brand partnerships, automotive events, or cross-functional campaign execution.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, project trackers, and cross-functional communication.
  • Experience with CRM/email marketing, social media, digital campaign management, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills; able to convert field insights into actionable corporate strategy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Salesforce, Airtable).
  • Must be based in Los Angeles, with the ability to travel frequently.
  • Comfort working directly with vehicles, including installation support, equipment setup, and basic troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications for Position

  • Background supporting media, influencer, or brand partnership activations.
  • Experience in performance marketing, digital content strategy, or cross-channel marketing.
  • Familiarity with EVs, connected platforms, or mobility/lifestyle storytelling.
  • Technical experience related to automotive, AV networking, or display systems.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
