Software Engineering Intern - Undergraduate
United States, Aliso Viejo: this position must be performed in a hybrid capacity out of the SIE-PlayStation Aliso Viejo, CA office.
About the Team:
The Core Engineering Team leverages cutting-edge technology to provide an exceptional game streaming experience for PlayStation players. Specializing in advanced streaming client and server development, we tackle intricate challenges to seamlessly transition the console gaming experience to the cloud with minimal latency and unparalleled streaming quality.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Become familiar with our tech stack and development environment.

Develop tools to enhance our streaming technology.

Contribute to adding features to our existing streaming application.

Participate in meetings and design sessions with our experienced engineering team.
What We’re Looking For:

Projected graduation by Spring 2026 with a degree in Computer Science.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Enthusiastic about professional development and eager to work with new technologies.

A team player who thrives in collaborative environments while also capable of independent work.
Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of encoders/decoders, networking, and/or Android development.
Eligibility:

Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.

Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
Intern Pay Range
$45.75 - $45.75 USD
