Brand Experience Design Intern - Undergraduate 

United States, Remote: this position will be performed in a fully remote capacity.

About the Team:

The Brand Experience Design & Innovation team works to craft high-impact visual strategy and emotive storytelling for the PlayStation and Sony Interactive Entertainment brands across design, video, and experiential media. Work alongside and direct artists, designers, producers, and editors to develop big ideas, high-impact moments for the PlayStation brand, and creative strategy that Global Marketing & PR, Product Development, Employee Teams, Sony Group, and partner agencies use as inspiration to bring our world-class creative to market.

The Brand Experience Design Intern supports Senior Staff Creative Designers and Senior Creative Designers to execute visual design strategy and design direction for PlayStation Brand Marketing projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supports Senior Staff/Senior Creative Designers throughout the project life cycle

  • Helps ideate and execute creative direction and creative assets, including but not limited to visual strategy presentations, product key art, brand key art, product images, typographic elements, guidelines, and in-channel execution direction for print and digital channels.

  • Supports Senior Staff/Senior Creative Designers in managing agency relationships with the opportunity to work on art direction skills and exposure to world-class boutique design agencies.

  • Works with BXDI Producers, Editors, and Global Creative Services and Creative Arts 3D artists and motion graphics artists to support production of video assets for creative campaigns.

  • Works with Global Marketing, Sales, and Business Operations Project Management and Global Creative Services account management team to deliver projects on time and against scope while gaining real-world experience in project management tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Studio Arts, Fine Arts, Advertising, Industrial Design, Visual Communications or similar, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026

  • A portfolio of design work demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of effective design and creative thinking

  • Experience or familiarity with agency models and/or process

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate

  • Strong knowledge of design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Adobe After Effects and Premiere, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya or Keyshot, Adobe Substane, Figma, Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Photography and studio lighting, motion design, 3D design, UI design

Eligibility:

  • Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 17th - September 5th.

  • Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.

  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. 

 

Intern Pay Range

$33.25 - $36.50 USD
