General Description:

PlayStation Studios are looking for a Research Assistants to support its internal user research department in London (UK). This is an exceptional opportunity to help our teams build world class games by supporting researchers in providing reliable and actionable feedback on game experience via detailed research with consumers.

We have several contract opportunities in 2025, varying from 6 - 9 months in length, starting as early as February, and others in the summer. If you feel that this opportunity is of interest and your skills align, we encourage you to apply to find out more.

The role is on-site; Therefore, we are looking for someone who can travel to our London office when testing is taking place.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre-defined research plans, following established methods to a high standard.
  • Moderate tests, observe participants, run interviews, take notes and compile data.
  • Communicate findings with researchers on the project.
  • Support researchers with analysing and reporting data.
  • Manage the technical aspects of the lab, including the streaming and capture of sessions, handling game builds, and maintaining the hardware used for testing.
  • Liaise with IT and our technical operations team to help resolve problems in the lab.

Skills & Knowledge: 

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

  • A passionate interest in video games.
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • A commitment to reliability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Usability or UX testing experience, particularly moderating sessions or interviewing participants.
  • A degree related to Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Human Factors, or related field.
