Role Overview:
Sony Interactive Entertainment Benelux (SIEB) is responsible for the distribution of PlayStation products in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.
The office in Hilversum consist of 24 employees. The company has a branch in Belgium, SIE Belgium located in Zaventem.
Position in the organisation
The Financial Accountant reports to the Financial Controller.
The Financial Accountant will work with a team of 6 finance employees (2 temporary contractors) and 1 HR employee.
The Finance team is responsible for the SIEB accounts, runs the accounting of Guerrilla B.V. a game development studio based in Amsterdam with 385 employees and Nixxes Software B.V. a game development studio based in Utrecht with 85 employees.
The European Finance function is consolidated at Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe in London to which the local finance function reports.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervise the accounting and finance activities of Nixxes Software B.V.
- Perform parts of the monthly and quarterly closing cycle for the three entities, preparing reporting in particular.
- Work on the planning cycle performed in Anaplan and Adaptive.
- Work on various reports and technical accounting questions.
- Support the team with accounting and tax matters.
- Support non-financial users with PO, Good Receipts and GR management.
- Support the preparation of various tax reporting or filling.
- Work on projects, in particular to improve processes within the department.
- Backup for payroll process in Netherlands and Belgium.
Experience and knowledge:
- A higher degree in Accounting, Finance, (Business) Economics.
- Several years of experience in a financial role with multiple entities, IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
- A proven track record in working with SAP and preferably SRM, BOBJ and Concur.
- Experience with sophisticated planning tools.
- Good knowledge of Dutch taxes.
- Having knowledge of Belgium payroll and taxes is a Pre.
- Mastering the Dutch, and English language.
The ideal candidate has a broad experience and is willing to take things up, investigate and solve matters in various areas. The candidate has a pragmatic approach to challenges, has a lot of energy, attention for details and people. The ability to work in a fast changing matrix environment is required.
PlayStation has a flexible working policy, the team joins at the office in Hilversum two days a week.
