Role Overview:

As the Localisation Specialist at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) for Global Marketing, you will work on and gain valuable experience supporting the production, translation and adaptation of global marketing campaigns for PS5, Games, Peripherals, VR, and other verticals within PlayStation. You will work closely with the Senior Lead, to ensure successful launches of PlayStation campaigns globally. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners, while supporting SIE global campaigns.

This role requires an understanding, and desire to understand global markets, cultural nuances, and best practices in localization and translation. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual, with a strong work ethic.  They excel in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate is skilled in collaboration, problem-solving, and interested in working with global partners within Marketing. They possess strong organisational and communication skills, with proven task management and deadline adherence. The role demands operational and project management expertise, along with team guidance through the localization process.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support Sr Lead with managing localisation projects and requirements across Global Marketing with internal stakeholders and external agency partners.
  • Assist in defining localization requirements and timelines for marketing campaigns across all SIE verticals.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve challenges.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Oversee localization workflows and support efficiencies that impact the business.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of localized content, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality output from SIE's localization agency partners.
  • Support and implement scalable and efficient localization processes and workflows.
  • Kick-off localization projects and vertical meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement continuous process optimization.
  • Provide guidance and support to marketing teams on localization best practices and challenges.
  • Understand budget management and support financial decisions that impact the business.

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to work within key stakeholder time zone PST/EST and EU/UK. Japan a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project management, advertising, production, localization or a related field.
  • An understanding of basic advertising production and paid media specifications.
  • Strong interest in global marketing and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for learning about localisation, production, the gaming industry.
