Role overview: 

We are looking for a Staff Project Manager to help deliver growth initiatives and technology capabilities across the Direct to Consumer (D2C) businesses, PlayStation Store & PlayStation Direct. This role sits within the Commercial Development function, reporting to the Director of Business Change & Analysis.  

We are looking for someone with experience in managing fast-paced, complex projects in a digital commerce environment. Experience in experimentation, automation and AI projects is highly desirable. 

Projects could include: working on our latest personalisation capabilities; taking a new subscription growth initiative from ideation to delivery; or supporting internal teams in optimizing their merchandizing operations through automation and the application of AI solutions.  

We’re looking for a self-starter who has the ability to engage, coordinate and influence across functions and is comfortable working with senior VPs. The ideal candidate should be proficient in applying project management and business change methodologies, flexing them to the required project, and having a relentless focus on delivering project outcomes.  

The individual should be passionate about data-led decision making and have a strong understanding of digital commerce. 

What you'll be doing: 

Project delivery  

  • Leads delivery of complex projects into D2C teams
  • Proficient in all elements of project execution, with the ability to flex approach as required
  • Prepares D2C business to operate solutions delivered by Product and Engineering teams
  • Supports benefits realization and achievement of target outcomes
  • Agile & Adaptive Thinking: encourages a culture of iterative learning, using retrospective insights to inform decision-making. 

Communication & Collaboration 

  • Constant drive to make progress
  • Able to make data-led recommendations and can help others do the same
  • Proactively develops relationships: understanding customer needs and aligning to project outcomes
  • Confident in managing stakeholders up to VP/SVP level
  • Has the ability to navigate ambiguous situations and ask the right questions to gain clarity 

Critical Reflection 

  • Has the ability to reflect on situations, challenge the status quo and present alternatives at all levels
  • Passion for continuous improvement, applying insights to enhance project efficiency and team performance 

What we're looking for: 

  • Proven Senior years experience delivering complex digital capabilities and change projects for a digital commerce organization
  • Data-Led Decision Making – Ability to leverage data insights to inform project strategies, measure success, and optimize delivery.
  • Project Management / Business Change / PdM qualification or equivalent demonstrable real-world experience
  • From project initiation to review, is robust in planning and delivering all project activities
  • Program management – experienced in managing multiple active projects
  • Positive & pragmatic attitude
  • Proficiency with MSFT Office products
  • Ability to create presentations and present to senior audiences
  • Experience with experimentation
