Position – Manager, Creative Arts Business Partnerships

Note- Preferred location is British Columbia, or ability to work pacific time zone hours required

Team:

Creative Arts is an award winning, global internal creative services team within PlayStation Studios. This role is part of the Creative Arts Production & Operations group. The Creative Arts team is structured around four core disciplines: a Creative studio, Music, Sound, and Visual Arts. We provide services that support game development and marketing/PR teams.

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Manager of Creative Arts Business Partnerships to act as a strategic partner to first party studios ensuring seamless communication and execution of Creative Arts services across multiple IPs. This role will oversee top-level workflows, track progress against roadmaps, and ensure effective multi-discipline communication between Creative Arts teams and studios.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in optimizing communication channels and driving efficiency through partnership with Creative Arts disciplines, Studios and corporate function teams within PlayStation Studios. This role is committed to delivering high-quality service with optimum solutions, ensuring reliability, responsiveness, and innovation. By balancing efficiency and customer-centricity, role will drive continuous improvement through performance measurement, standardizations, and stakeholder collaboration. The Manager of Creative Arts Business Partnerships will oversee a small global team of Business Partners all working towards these goals. These efforts will enhance customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage, leading to sustainable business growth and long-term success.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a liaison for Creative Arts development work with first party studios production teams, ensuring alignment on strategy, roadmap, deliverables, cost and expectations.
  • Be a conduit and facilitate conversations between game studios and Creative Arts teams mitigating risks and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication across all Creative Arts teams, fostering collaboration, alignment, and transparency across the portfolio of titles.
  • Top-level understanding of all Creative Arts disciplines and the portfolio of work being completed by the group.
  • Ensure Creative Arts provides value and efficiency in the deliverables to our partners.
  • Manage a small team of regionally based partnership managers.
  • Assist in monitoring the scope of work across multiple disciplines maintaining project cost and status reports and accompanying resource plans
  • Develop and forward new business opportunities to relevant discipline leads and production teams.
  • Proactively build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Creative Arts disciplines, internal studios and SIE central teams.
  • Maintain relationship health documentation, key actions, and potential risks aligning this documentation with individual discipline documentation.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate a client facing best practices document regarding key success figures for work with the group.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant and recent experience at a game developer, publisher or creative services agency
  • Demonstrated skills in production and/or client management in a lead or management role
  • Comfortable discussing creative and technical development as applied to games
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Working knowledge of game production, usage of quality metrics, and market trends of creative services and the game industry
  • Self-motivated to work independently and take ownership
  • Must be attentive to detail and accurate when reviewing financial and deliverable reports
  • This position requires the use of business discretion, good judgment, and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Working knowledge using Resource and Work Management toolsets (ex. Monday.com, Jira, Shotgrid, Smartsheet etc.)
  • Experience with cost center level of financial reporting and tracking
  • Experience with data visualization tools to represent key metrics

 

Desired

  • Experience in a multi-national company
  • Familiar with PlayStation products
  • Based in Pacific Time Zone
