For nearly 40 years, Naughty Dog has been crafting best-selling, critically acclaimed games that constantly push the boundaries of narrative, gameplay, and technology. Naughty Dog recently released The Last of Us Part II Remastered as well as a current generation remake of The Last of Us Part I for the PS5. We're also proud to say that The Last of Us Parts I and II are now available for the first time on PC. Currently, we’re busy at the kennel working on Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and we’d love to find talented individuals to join us.

In service of these goals, Naughty Dog is growing our production team! 

We’re looking for an experienced Producer to join us in the studio and elevate our team’s capabilities. We are looking for the right candidate to get in early and help define the processes, requirements, and infrastructure that will support the project through launch and beyond.  In this role you’ll have a significant impact on the way we work, both within the game team and production team, by leveling up the skills we apply to the production of our games as well as the structures we work within. 

On the game team side, you’ll partner with leads and directors to understand their needs.  You’ll develop processes to improve communication, scheduling, and overall quality of life; all while developing the kind of ground-breaking video games we're famous for.  

Our ideal candidate is someone with a deep understanding of the complexities of game development and a track record of building processes to help the team achieve their highest potential within cinematic production. You'll bring your organizational skills, understanding of communication pipelines, leadership experience, and passion for making games - and above all, your empathy to inspire the team and rally support for our shared vision! 

What you will do:  

  • Work with creative teams to ensure clear information flows within your assigned pipelines 

  • Build and maintain project plans, schedules, and roadmaps. Ensure the team is on track with their goals 

  • Communicate frequently and effectively with key collaborators on project status, risks, and opportunities 

  • Ensure cross-department visibility is clear and dependencies are properly tracked. Ensure the impact of scope changes is understood, and the ramifications are clearly communicated 

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of our shared production processes to increase studio efficiency and quality 

  • Serve as a mentor and provide leadership, information, and resources to new and existing production team members 

  • Work with the tools team to advance the development of our production-related software 

  • Maintain a constant awareness of game status through regular play sessions. Evaluate project scope and make recommendations to the Creative Director, Game Director, and studio leadership 

What skills you will use:  

  • Solid understanding of video game development, software development processes, and project management practices 

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a production role where you've supported cross-functional teams in the creation and delivery of AAA projects 

  • Experience working with designers and cross-discipline pipelines. 

  • Expertise in common Production methodologies and software 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, on both a personal and team level 

  • Self-starter. Approach challenges creatively and methodically, seeing them through to final resolution

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$122,800 - $153,500 USD
