Visual Communications Designer


CA Remote preferred
US remote considered (must work west coast hours) 

 

In this role, you’ll be working with Product Leaders to deliver exciting and effective presentations materials to communicate to internal and external teams including PlayStation Executive leadership.

As part of that team, you will be expected to create compelling and clear presentation materials with consistent, brand-inspired visuals and messaging.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling presentation material, assets, and videos for evangelizing the mission, goals, processes, and roadmaps of the product organization for PlayStation Product Management teams.
  • Communicate design choices clearly, ensure that the narrative is presented effectively
  • Manage timelines and priorities to ensure delivery deadlines can be met
  • Collaborate with Product teams to create first-class presentation materials that resonate with their audiences
  • Ability to understand the overall journey, purpose, and audience and translate that into a presentation that creates a captivating narrative
  • Crafting ideas that turn complex and confusing into simple and understandable
  • Ability to interpret the PlayStation brand and integrate into presentations, when appropriate
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with product and internal design teams
  • Ability to collaborate with remote team members
  • Responsible for proofing and editing your own work

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required
  • 5 years of experience with communication design, presentation, and design knowledge, ideally in-house at a Gaming, Entertainment or Technology company
  • Proficient at using Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides
  • Experience writing and editing copy for tone and consistency
  • Basic project management skills
  • Experience using industry-standard software, tools, and methodologies (Figma, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro etc.)
  • Clear, concise, and transparent communication style
  • Action-oriented, pro-active, diligent, and flexible
  • Strong attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Gaming
  • Knowledge of PlayStation platform and products
  • Experience in video editing
  • Experience in creating 3D assets

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$110,900 - $166,300 USD
