You will be a key member of our global Legal, Public Policy, and ESG team, advising on complex legal and policy issues, ensuring compliance with competition laws and regulatory obligations, and engaging with government authorities and external counsel. This role requires a combination of deep subject matter expertise, strong judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Lead and manage all competition, antitrust, and related regulatory legal matters across the Americas.
- Provide proactive, strategic legal advice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution strategies, pricing, procurement, and market behavior.
- Advise on regulatory risks related to digital markets, data, platform governance, and emerging tech sector trends.
- Represent the company in investigations, inquiries, or proceedings involving competition or regulatory authorities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Policy, Compliance, etc.) to assess and mitigate legal risks.
- Collaborate with global legal counterparts to ensure consistent and aligned competition and regulatory strategy.
- Manage outside counsel on complex investigations or litigation, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver training to business and legal teams on antitrust and regulatory issues.
- Monitor legal and policy developments in antitrust and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions in the Americas and assess potential impact on the company.
- JD or equivalent legal degree with strong academic credentials.
- Member in good standing of a U.S. state bar or equivalent jurisdiction in the Americas.
- Minimum 12 years of legal experience, including at a top law firm, government agency (e.g., DOJ, FTC, competition authority), and/or in-house legal department.
- Extensive experience handling competition/antitrust matters, including regulatory compliance and competition litigation
- Proven track record advising tech companies or similarly dynamic, highly regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of U.S. and Latin American competition law regimes and regulatory environments.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$271,300 - $406,900 USD
