Visual Merchandising Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Visual Merchandising Manager to lead the strategy, design, and execution of immersive, cutting-edge retail experiences across major big box retail partners in North America. This role is central to bringing our brand and product stories to life through innovative in-store display technologies that educate, engage, and inspire consumers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer electronics, a passion for tech-forward solutions, and the ability to manage large-scale projects from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Execution
    • Lead the design, development, and roll-out of physical retail displays, fixtures, and environments for major North American retailers with a specialty in big box stores.
    • Create tailored yet scalable merchandising displays for both new and existing product lines, ensuring alignment with brand identity and product positioning.
    • Partner closely with the sales team and retail account teams to understand the scope and parameters around display needs.
    • Develop experiential retail solutions that incorporate digital content, interactive demos, and self-guided or staff-assisted product exploration.
    • Design displays to align with sales goals and optimal product placement to drive consumer engagement and sales.
    • Strong focus on ensuring every visual detail aligns with the brand and creates a seamless shopping experience for the customer.
       
  • Technology & Innovation
    • Stay ahead of trends in display technology and retail innovation to ensure in-store experiences are cutting-edge and drive sales.
    • Partner with product marketing and retail tech teams to integrate emerging tech into displays.
    • Prototype and test new display concepts that support future product roadmaps.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies/vendors to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
    • Translate business and sales strategies into engaging merchandising executions that meet both brand and retail partner requirements.
    • Provide strategic input during retailer meetings and help guide big box retail strategy through strong industry knowledge and a consumer-first mindset.
  • Project & Budget Management
    • Manage end-to-end project timelines, RFQs/RFPs, production, installation, and refresh cycles.
    • Oversee display budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and value optimization.
    • Establish and maintain efficient processes for global/local team collaboration, vendor communication, and executional consistency.
    • Prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously with tight deadlines to meet retailer reset dates

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in visual merchandising, retail display development, or experiential retail marketing, preferably in the consumer electronics or tech sector.
  • Proven success delivering interactive merchandising display programs in big box retail environments.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and strategic display execution, including interactive or technology-enabled retail experiences.
  • Solid understanding of shopper behavior and how to translate it into impactful physical design.
  • Excellent project management skills, including experience managing vendors and working cross-functionally with multiple teams inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to balance brand vision and sales goals with retail requirements, security protocols, and technical constraints.
  • Working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and display security solutions.
  • Proficiency in digital tools for creating virtual merchandising designs, concepts, and layouts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of products, including Microsoft Teams, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photo Shop, and InDesign
  • Knowledge of 3D rendering, prototyping, or animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
  • Experience working through the complexities of problem-solving for the visual needs of unique store conditions while meeting deadlines and objectives.
  • Experience with different design platforms is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Business, or related field.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$104,500 - $156,700 USD
