Role Overview:
We’re looking for a commercial and strategic minded people manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance insight for PlayStation’s fast-growing Services business. The Commercial Finance Manager role will play a pivotal part in driving financial visibility and supporting decision-making at a global level.
An important part of the role will be to develop and own business cases and financial models to support strategic initiatives, distilling complex analysis into clear, concise insights for leadership. In addition to this, the role will drive promotions analysis, support the rollout of new planning tools and challenge the business inputs with data driven recommendations
This manager will also take responsibility for developing and coaching a Finance Analyst, supporting their growth through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning. The position reports to the Finance Director and works closely with global stakeholders across FP&A, Accounting, Commercial Planning, and wider Services business partners.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the delivery of financial planning cycles, including the mid-range plan, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts for the Services business.
- Develop business cases and own financial models to support strategic initiatives, including scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and ROI evaluation.
- Synthesise financial analysis into clear recommendations and executive-ready summaries for Leadership
- Manage month-end performance reporting, providing global commentary and variance insights to leadership.
- Challenge business assumptions and inputs using robust data analysis, historical trends, and market insights.
- Work closely with the Services Commercial Planning team to support the introduction and adoption of a new Digital Sales Planning Tool.
- Lead promotions analysis, ensuring commercial effectiveness and ROI.
- Manage and coach a Finance Analyst, including setting objectives, holding regular 1:1s, supporting development plans, and overseeing workload and deliverables.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and commercial partners, providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Accountant or MBA with at least 5 years relevant PQE in a finance function
- Senior level business partner experience ideally at board or global level
- Strong financial background with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as SAP, Workday, Adaptive, Domo and Tableau
- Experience of working in a regional /global environment
- Experience of digital products or subscription services (i.e. online services & entertainment business (Games/ Film / Music)

- Strong written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to present detailed analyses
- Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition who thrives under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines
- Able to identify and develop opportunities to improve, innovate and/or pioneer new ways of working through continuous process improvement practices
