Staff Program Manager

San Mateo, CA

Come join Sony Interactive Entertainment as a Staff Program Manager leading various game publisher / Partner initiatives. This role drives strategic programs from concept through delivery, connecting business priorities to execution and measurable outcomes at global scale. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, structured problem solving, and the ability to drive clarity, alignment, and results in complex environments.

How you’ll lead:

  • Drive program strategy, decision-making, and execution planning for large, high-impact initiatives across all phases of planning and delivery

  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to align objectives, clarify trade-offs, and create shared accountability for successful outcomes

  • Proactively identify critical risks, dependencies, and decision points, and drive them to closure while balancing business priorities, operational needs, and delivery constraints

  • Influence at all levels and build strong partnerships across organizations to deliver the best outcome for complex programs with competing priorities

  • Use business context, data, and delivery signals to guide prioritization, frame trade-offs, and connect program execution to measurable value

  • Improve delivery effectiveness by strengthening program mechanisms, reporting, and operating rhythms to increase predictability, transparency, and decision quality

  • Communicate program status, risks, recommendations, and strategic implications clearly across organizational boundaries, including senior leadership

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience leading complex programs in platform, product, business systems, or related environments from concept through delivery

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to connect program execution to business goals, customer outcomes, and operational priorities

  • Ability to work across a range of stakeholders, surfacing risks, clarifying trade-offs, and driving alignment

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize effectively, develop execution plans, identify gaps and risks, and put mitigation and communication plans in place

  • Excellent critical thinking and systems thinking skills to understand how teams, dependencies, and decisions fit together and solve complex problems effectively

  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear recommendations and decisions for executive-level audiences

  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring clarity and calm to ambiguous, high-pressure situations

  • Experience using dashboards, reporting tools, and delivery metrics to improve visibility, manage risk, and support decision-making

  • Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the organization

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.

$188,600 - $283,000 USD
