Role overview:

The Internal Communications team’s goals are to engage and inform our PlayStation employees globally and to create a seamless internal employee experience that’s on par with our external brand.

With a particular focus on high quality, tone, and measurement, you’ll be part of a team that aims to reach the right employees at the right time, using the most engaging content on the most effective channels, as well as delivering internal experiences and events that are unique to SIE.

The Internal Communications and Engagement Manager role will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications and Engagement, and work alongside the wider team to deliver PlayStation’s internal communications and employee engagement strategy.

What you'll be doing:

  • With the support of the Senior Manager, Internal Communications and Engagement work across key communication channels and campaigns
  • Create high quality content that is relevant, easy to understand, and playful
  • Advise stakeholders and departments across the business on the best internal communications approach, to help them achieve their goals in respect to what employees think, feel and do for key areas of the business including IT, Facilities, InfoSec, Legal, and Finance
  • Design and execution of internal communications campaigns and events
  • Support the delivery of global and regional campaigns, events and employee engagement initiatives tied to product launches
  • Manage employee sweepstakes linked to product launches, including communications, processes, and fulfilment
  • Daily use of content management systems (e.g. intranet, digital signage, email distribution) to schedule content
  • Manage the end-to-end process of regular engagement campaigns, e.g., distribution of game codes for SIE employees, annual holiday gift distribution
  • Analyze the effectiveness and impact of channels and campaigns to improve employee communications and provide insights on the most effective ways to reach employees

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience (or equivalent) in internal communications, preferably within the technology or entertainment industries
  • BA or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, PR, marketing, or languages is an advantage, though other degrees are acceptable
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-profile environment and organisations
  • Understanding of the gaming sector; experience within gaming, entertainment, or technology strongly preferred but not required
  • A creative candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable writing style with ability to switch tone of voice as appropriate
  • Creative skills including Photoshop, graphic manipulation and creation, basic video editing skills, basic HTML
  • Demonstrative internal communication campaign design and delivery
  • Demonstrative internal communication channel management and development
  • Content Management System experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to build positive relationships, enabling effective collaboration
  • Resilient and bold to ensure initiatives achieve their full benefit
  • Adaptable attitude with the ability to think quickly as situations change / demands alter
  • Business acumen – deep insight and a thorough understanding of the business environment/industry in which the business operates
