The Allocator will play an important part of Three Ten Merchandising retail store growth, Ensuring timely inbound and outbound deliveries of goods to retail locations and our internal Distribution Center

They will partner directly with Head of Onsite retail, Planning Manager, and merchandising team to ensure clear execution of planned needs. Responsible for ad hoc analyses of Store-Sku level productivity, delivering reporting that will advise opportunities for inventory controls and profitability.

Reporting to the Planning and Allocation Manager- Allocation Analysts support sales, margin, and inventory objectives. They work in partnership to develop pre-season sales plans at the location level to influence the Merchandise & Assortment Planning Processes with a goal of optimizing margin opportunities at the location/department/class level. This work continues in-season where sales plan re-trending is done based on recent selling trends at the location level which directly influences the Allocation Planning & Execution processes.  They will be responsible for reviewing stores during monthly/quarterly/seasonal store review cycles across each business to ensure optimal inventory turns are being reached.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with OSR team on the Pre-planning process across the organization that gathers and analyzes the inputs to build out the Location Planning forecast.
  • Manage the In-Season process that makes sales trend adjustments based on the latest selling behavior, influencing store allocations that are aligned to customer demand.
  • Manages the process of Allocating merchandise based on the outputs of the location plan.
  • In Collaboration with OSR team- supports the pre-season allocation strategy approach to new floor sets, inventory parameters and identifies best practices in the use of inventory math based variable logic to drive precision into inventory placement by location.
  • Collaborate on solutions with a cross functional team including Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, DC Operations, Merchandise Operations.
  • Measure forecast accuracy and create baseline benchmarks by department/class to track overall improvement.
  • Maximize sales and margin performance through their ability to properly plan and execute the development of location plans and deliver supporting inventory to maximize sales and margin performance.
  • Support and Implement process & system improvements related to Location Planning & Allocation activities as needed.
  • Focus on delivering consistent, repeatable processes to optimize inventory position, profit levels, and operational effectiveness.
  • Partners with Merchant / Planning team to understand and communicate Location Planning & Allocation strategy, develops reporting, status updates, identification and communication of risks and opportunities to leadership as they develop.
  • Provides analytics across the Location Planning & Allocation team to identify key issues and develop solutions to ensure opportunities are maximized and risks minimized.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working with data analyses within the retail and or Music Space.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – ability to identify trends in datasets, connect disparate data sources to tell a holistic story, display creativity in problem-solving, and generate new ideas
  • Strong ability to communicate insights to key stakeholders – orally, in writing, and in presentations
  • Possess a strong collaborative and “customer service” mentality to ensure the needs of clients are met in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Proficient in Excel; extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and collaborative mindset.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptive to change and ability to prioritize deadlines.
