Marketing Manager (RCA)

As a Marketing Manager, to develop full scope project marketing plans and managing social media marketing promotion to drive music performance across all streaming platforms and an overall digital creative vision for label’s artists & the label’s branding. Be part of the core team responsible for the overall development of music releases, artist management, artist branding, content creation, business development, label branding etc.

What you'll do:

  • Expand our client network and to drive strategic new business with media agencies, brand owners, etc.
  • Ability to lead and motivate the new business deals in the Mainland China, APAC & Global business integrating our artists and brand solutions to clients.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to complete the project – A&R, Marketing, Commercial & Sales, Creative Services, Finance & Operation etc.
  • Account servicing, market planning and executions as well as event management. Assist in marketing strategies, brand business and artist development.
  • Define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans independently.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial & Sales team to drive growth and learn / share innovative case studies in the Greater China & APAC regions.
  • Regularly track and benchmark deals performance, and creatively help partners evolve through the changes in the digital music landscape.
  • Coordinate internal communication, analysis and financial modelling to ensure effective information flow, informed decision-making, and sharing of best practices.
  • Make strategic recommendations regarding business opportunities that will deliver new or enhanced revenue for the label and advise management thoroughly and concisely.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of negotiators and dedicated business analysts as well as colleagues across multiple functional areas of the business. Build relationships and enhance the overall organization’s culture, diversity, and performance.
  • Work with the label team to monitor, track, and ensure company business and financial objectives are met, including but not limited to digital business and local licensing deals, artists related projects, new business, brand/sync deals and identify, develop any other commercial opportunities in the market.
 

Who you are:

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in content licensing, digital media or top-tier management consulting with media, entertainment or technology companies; international experience is a plus
  • Very good negotiator with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, great attention to detail with a keen eye for data
  • Excellent problem-solving, combined with outstanding analytical skills, creativity and efficiency
  • Great verbal and written communications skills combined with interpersonal skills working across multiple cultures
  • Well versed of social media platform in both China and overseas landscape.
  • Passion for music, digital media and innovation is a (big) plus
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting industry situations and translating this into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Strong understanding and ability to grow and train local workforces (ideally with strong experience in moderating and running workshops)
  • Confident public speaker with strong experience in pitching and presenting
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
