Sr. Manager Label Relations

Asia & Middle East, Korea, Seoul

As the Sr. Manager, Label Relations,  you will be crucial in ensuring our clients' label releases are launched effectively in the market. You will keep our clients up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the music industry, including best practices and retail strategies.

Owning and maintaining solid relationships with our clients and their team is essential to achieving our objectives.

What you'll do:

New Deal Sales Pitching
•    Explore new distribution opportunities through chart and sales trend analysis. 
•    Review distribution proposals via inbound channels.
•    Discuss and negotiate distribution contract structures with labels.
•    Draft and review contracts
•    Support headquarters approval process for major deals.

Label Relations (Managing Existing Deals)
•    Identify the needs of key partners and engage in relationship-building. 
•    Support communication with key partners about distribution and others in general
•    Maintain/Terminate Deals/Contracts and Manager partners

Team Management
•    Manage Digital & Physical record distribution and release processes 
•    Manage team & team member’s performance (KPIs) through leadership day-to-day
•    Report & forecast the local sales 
•    Handle regular reporting to HQ and others internally

Cross-function Collaboration & Communication
•    Collaborate & communicate with oversea outbound marketing team
•    Collaborate & communicate with Marketing and A&R teams
•    Collaborate & communicate with Business Development team – Explore various collaboration opportunities including stake acquisition and joint ventures in addition to distribution contracts.
•    Collaborate & communicate with Legal team - Review and seek improvements in overall matters related to distribution contracts. 
•    Collaborate & communicate with the Finance team - Co-work related to sales, settlements, and payments. 
•    External Partnerships: Collaboration with Sony Music Publishing, Orchard, etc.

Who you are:

• Min 10+ years job-related experience in Music industry

 • Min. 2+ years of managing team size of 5 or more

•  Solid Music industry network & insights

• Strong communication skills

• Fluent in both English and Korean
