Analyst, Data Analytics & Insight
The role will provide insights and driving initiatives that will assist decision making within multiple departments to help drive sales, market share and partner relationships for Sony Music Taiwan. Overseeing data analytics and insights efforts for Taiwan market. Develop analytical data to support the local teams and deliver regular reports that help drive informed decision making.
What you'll do:
- Assess data quality to gauge suitability for analysis. Synthesising data and analysis into impactful, action-orientated reports for local team.
- Able to communicate the key findings and insight to local team and peers both conversationally and in formal presentation style.
- Comfortable using a wide range of analytical tools to help with their analysis, be familiar with both digital data such as social and search right through to traditional business data such as penetration and brand equity.
- Responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis and insight to inform business strategy, marketing, digital marketing, and product development, drive best business decision.
- As such they need to be comfortable working on their own analytics projects and be able to work with specialist experts on larger, more complex briefs.
- Maintain knowledge of previous analysis to avoid duplication and to share learnings from relevant past projects.
- Follow-up meetings with stakeholders after received analysis, to ensure it is helpful and documented any scope for improvements.
- Managed datasets, designed data visualization dashboards on Tableau, and delivered relevant insights to key stakeholders through strategic analysis and storytelling.
- Conduct deep dive analyses for special projects focusing on market share, subscriber growth and digital revenue maximization
- Work closely with the PD Asia analytics function and analysts across the region to turn data into actionable insights and support decision making across multiple departments.
- Project management across various activities related to the partner. This could include supporting content strategies, reporting integration, ongoing analysis of partner performance, problem solving etc.
- Collaborate with internal teams – A&R, marketing, sales teams, business development – and drive actionable insights.
- Build strong relationships with key partners across the region, as well as Sony Music teams on a local- and global level.
- Understand data sources and systems to ensure data integrity and report accuracy
- Present analysis, special projects and other findings to various teams across Sony Music (including senior management).
- Provide inputs on current available metrics and data collection to develop new metrics for research projects.
Who you are:
- You have at least 5 years of experience working with insight & analytic background
- An analytical role and providing insight and recommendation based on analysis
- “Storytelling” in a music context, and crafting clear, compelling messaging
- A thoughtful, organized and data analytic-oriented professional
- An excellent communicator and enthusiastic collaborator who works well with team members, external partners, and senior management
- You have a strategic mindset and lean on data to inform and track business goals
- Strong with analytical tools
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders of different level across the business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
