Manager, Distribution

What you'll do:

  • Act as the main point of contact and Manage the relationships with distributed music clients across various genres and day-to-day label management with distributed independent labels and support.
  • Manage local label releases, communication and logistics, ensuring content is delivered in a timely manner and to the required specifications using internal technology systems. Ensure all necessary information are correctly delivered to all DSPs.
  • Manage clients with all distribution needs, including retail best practices, metadata updates, payment inquiries, and more.
  • Develop & manage strong client relationships through regular communication and engagement, working together to plan the client releases and make sure we have all the information to pitch them.
  • Collaborate with labels and internal departments to help create and execute release development plans and strategies together with the team manager.
  • Liaise with all internal departments (from finance and marketing to legal and management) to ensure labels’ business needs are met, as the primary point of contact externally to the label and internally representing your labels’ interests.
 

Who you are:

  • 5+ years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) with local distribution companies or label management companies in Korea.
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize to tight deadlines, stay cool under pressure, and hold oneself accountable for results. Results driven, target oriented and proactive.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills especially with the external clients. Fluent in Korean and English.
  • Passionate about music and the music industry with drive and enthusiasm to excel.
  • Resourceful and take the initiative - an expert troubleshooter
  • A multi-tasker with supreme attention to detail and follow-through
