Digital Business Manager

The Digital Business Manager focuses on managing accounts of digital service providers (music streaming platforms) and digital retail relationships in Vietnam, and the overall success, revenue and market share of SME label in music industry. Essential to this role is a solid understanding of the digital retail landscape as well as a core understanding of the digital services. Equally important is a strong grasp of various different genres of local repertoire.

What you'll do:

Account Management 

  • Manage & maintain day-to-day relationships with digital service providers (streaming platforms including but not limited to Apple Music, Spotify, VNG, NCT, Facebook/IG, Tiktok, Youtube, Telco etc.), including global services and local services.
  • Negotiate with local digital service providers on agreement renewal.
  • Follow up monthly reporting with local digital service providers and communicate with Sony Music Finance Department in report processing.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Vietnam team in growing streams by developing a thorough understanding of DSP services.
  • Identify and monitor the daily impulse of activities, trends and initiative between digital service accounts with other music labels (competitors) in the market, and also innovations within and outside the music industry where commercially transferable.
  • Identify and execute high revenue & high marketing impact from digital collaboration opportunities.
  • Identify potential new partners and/or new services in Vietnam.
  • Maintain a good day to day work relationship with digital partners in account management.
  • Support on account management of digital partners.
  • Ensure close DSP relationships are maintained by attending meetings, trainings, events and gigs etc.
  • Ensure Sony Music’s repertoire receives maximum promotion and exposure across each market in Vietnam.
  • Strong analytical skills to consolidate data from DSP and convert them into insights and strategies.
  • Communicate findings and insights to the team to establish best practices on new releases, playlisting and catalogue exploitation.
  • Collaborate with team members from other teams such as Social Marketing, Artist Management as well as regional offices on CRM projects
  • Handle reports on weekly/monthly/yearly/ad-hoc basis.

Who you are:

  • University graduate in any disciplines but degrees of relevant subjects are preferred.
  • Passionate with track records of success in business development and driving sales.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, with passion in music & entertainment will also be considered.
  • Proficient in both English and Vietnamese (written and spoken).
  • Well-versed in MS Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience in working in a dynamic, fast-moving business such as entertainment, music industries, music distribution, music content tech. platform etc. is desirable.
  • Creative, bright, pragmatic and dedicated, with strong relationship management and consulting skills.
  • A team player, happy working independently but also to collaborate with colleagues in a matrixed organization.
