Operations Associate/Assistant
Asia & Middle East, Philippines, Manila
Sony Music is seeking an Operations Associate/Assistant to support the onboarding and operational activities related to catalog/tracks onboarding. This 6-month temporary role will focus on streamlining processes, managing onboarding requirements of new contracts/vendors, and ensuring accurate royalty processing and compliance, addressing key operational challenges.
What you'll do:
- Onboarding & Data Management:
- Facilitate the onboarding of new vendor (artists and composers).
- Verify and update vendor information to ensure accuracy in royalty processing and work closely with the operations and royalty processing teams.
- Coordinate with artists and other stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and ensure completeness.
- Royalty Processing & Compliance:
- Assist with the first quarterly royalty calculations and payment processing.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely royalty payouts and maintain proper documentation
- Process Optimization: Work with artists to onboard them onto appropriate payment solutions, addressing challenges such as lack of bank accounts.
- Administrative Support:
- Respond to artist queries regarding royalty payments, contracts, and WHT certificates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, royalty processing, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of operations and business affairs.
- Proficiency in data management tools and systems is a must.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience in the entertainment or music industry is a plus.
