The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create. We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year.
This role is critical in maintaining SME’s global “Best in Class” metadata quality while continues growth in scope and importance. Affects virtually every department within Sony and external parties, giving opportunity to you to have an impact on the business. The role requires critical thinking and encourages challenge, learning, and growth.
What you'll do:
- Support SME Labels in creating, maintaining and policing global metadata to ensure the preservation and continued advancement in quality and scope
- Manage or support metadata projects in line with corporate initiatives, affiliate/regional needs, or inter-department benefit; escalation to management team risk to deadlines
- Participate in strategic planning and business/IT conversations to guide need for continuous improvement addressing challenges or best practices opportunities
- Investigate metadata errors identifying root causes and establishing business solutions
- Create and analyze standard system and ad-hoc reports to identify trends and challenges facing the business and maintain high data quality
- Design and present key performance indicators and implement strategies to improve team productivity
Who you are:
- Minimum of 2 years of business analyst, process improvement, data librarian or related experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Ready to work in US shift (4.30 pm – 1.30 am)
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects while managing deadlines a must
- Ability to conceptualize and formalize business and technical requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Fluent in English; Bi/Multilingual a plus
- Detail oriented individual with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and work with a diverse group of people in multiple locations throughout the world
