
Business Development Manager/Sr. Manager South East Asia
As the Business Development Manager/Sr. Manager-South East Asia, you will drive revenue by planning, developing and implementing innovative and effective new business & brand partnerships for our regional and global artists, music and music adjacent IP.
You will serve as the point of contact and execution with IP owners, artists and management regarding new business & brand partnership activities, while leading the execution of business opportunities and brand partnerships and also coordinating SEA hub level projects and any upcoming SEA initiatives.
What you'll do:
• Oversee & execute all aspects of commercial activities for Sony Music artists, IP and other non-traditional business.
• Ensure that all project deliverables are up to artists’, IP owners & management expectations.
• Maintain and allocate resources for efficient and on-budget project delivery.
• Coordinate with the stakeholders (Country Heads, Label Heads, Artist Management or IP owners) as required throughout the pitching stage and delivery of the project.
• Update regularly the label management team and/or IP & merchandise stakeholders in all creative aspects, from P&L to creative output of content.
• Participate in negotiations and contribute to the revenue generation for the SEA Hub.
• Build and manage robust, innovative and impactful brand/business partnerships for priority and developing artist projects.
• Pitch brand opportunities and write cooperation proposals and presentations.
• Execute brand & other new business events.
• Closely monitor and analyze new business & brand profitability, sales volumes, market share trends and competitive activity.
• Brainstorm new and innovative brand business growth strategies.
• Build and maintain an always evolving database of current and potential target marketing leaders for all industries that relate with the music and entertainment sector.
• Create and maintain thorough tracking of all outreaches (email, calls & meetings), targeted client engagements and partnership development.
• Explore and expand clients’ network and clients visiting.
• Ensure growth of revenue in accordance with BP targets.
• Co-lead or lead weekly department target status meetings and generate weekly activity summary.
• Ensure all responsibilities are met in a timely manner.
Who you are:
• Between 5-7 years of proven experience in business development & brand partnerships (Music Industry experience is a plus).
• Experience in understanding and interpreting industry situations and translating this into actionable commercialization strategies.
• Strong ability to execute new business and other commercialization opportunities.
• Ideal experience working with key stakeholders including celebrities, artists/ management.
