Senior Manager – PTP

The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create.  We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year.

The Sr. Manager, PTP, ensures that the regional team delivers best in class Purchase-To-Pay processes by collecting, processing and providing relevant, timely and accurate information against service delivery standards.

What you'll do:

PTP Delivery work & Transition support:

  • Ensure day to day timely delivery and best quality of support provided to APAC Affiliates  
  • Support and coordinate together with Process Owner and global team the PTP Transition
  • Help to define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) , PTP Dashboard , etc..
  • Ensure up to date and complete documentation ( SOPs ,DPMs )
  • Review /assess the accuracy of P2P transactions and promptly address process gaps and non-compliance issues.
  • Monitoring of third-party P2P team to ensure adherence to established processes and policies,
  • Provide guidance and support to the PTP team/ third-party and Sony Music Affiliates teams in resolving complex P2P issues and escalations.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance the team's knowledge and skills in P2P processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the P2P cycle.
  • Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
  • Mitigate risks associated with P2P activities and report any potential issues to management.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track and communicate progress.
  • Ad hoc or any other tasks or projects within PTP/ GFSS area

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Manages the performance and development of the regional team, ensuring quality of deliverables and acting on feedback
  • Oversees the delivery of the Shared Service Center Procure-to-Pay to the Affiliates and ensures commitments are met
  • Supports change management activities and communications
  • Supports issues resolution with vendors and local affiliates

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of overall work experience, preferably in a multinational environment
  • 7–8 years of hands-on PTP (Procure-to-Pay) experience with strong process knowledge
  • Proven experience managing people and/or teams
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or a recognized accounting certification
  • Ability to communicate complex financial and non-financial information clearly, tailoring the message to different audiences
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office; basic knowledge of HTML
  • Practical working knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with Basware or other AP workflow tools is an advantage
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience working with multicultural, global teams
  • Willingness to work APAC or India hours with flexibility as required
