Job Type & Duration: Part-time Internship, 4-5 Months from August to December 2025

Compensation: Paid Internship

Shift Information: At least 3 days a week, 9AM to 5PM, up to 24 hours a week

Sony Music Canada carries on the Canadian operations of Sony Music Entertainment, a global recorded music company with a roster that includes both Canadian and international artists, as well as a vast catalogue that comprises some of the most important recordings in history.

The Global Technology intern will support the Global Technology team in delivering technical assistance, maintaining systems, and improving user experience across the organization.  This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and learning in a fast-paced, creative environment. You will have the opportunity to observe and assist in the day-to-day activities of the team, including, but not limited to: 

  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Assist with the purging and degaussing of old devices in accordance with company data security policies.
  • Support the repair, replacement, and upgrade of hardware components (e.g., RAM, hard drives, peripherals).
  • Support the service desk in resolving tickets related to Hardware devices, Microsoft 365, MFA, and password resets.
  • Help document IT processes and contribute to knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, app testing, and automation initiatives.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with asset tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology rollouts and user training.
  • Provide first-level technical support to internal users (hardware, software, network).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Enrolled in or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with macOS and Windows environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team.
