Intern, Artist Strategy

Work Location: Liberty Village, Toronto 

Job Type & Duration: Full-time Internship, 4 Months from January to April 2026 

Compensation: Paid Internship 

Work Arrangement: At least four (4) days per week in office, 9AM to 5PM, up to 37.5 hours a week

The Artist Strategy team is responsible for driving artist’ digital presence and audience engagement. We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team on a short-term basis. As an Artist Strategy intern, you will have the opportunity to observe and assist in the day-to-day activities of the Artist Strategy team.

The Role

  • Working with the Artist Strategy and Artist Marketing teams to find custom solutions for priority artists, releases and campaigns to maximize impact across diverse audiences.
  • Proactively monitoring trends, pop culture, artist activity, and updates on music and lifestyle platforms to identify and leverage timely promotional opportunities.
  • Conducting comprehensive influencer research, fostering effective communication, and suggesting strategies to amplify artist reach.
  • Crafting compelling copy and designing visually engaging social media posts to enhance artist visibility and audience engagement.
  • Moderating content and overseeing platform activity to maintain a positive and dynamic online presence.
  • Supporting with internal reporting to track campaign performance and inform ongoing strategy.
  • Partnering with the insights team to analyze data, optimize campaign execution, and contribute to the development of more effective marketing strategies.
  • Organizing and executing contests and fan engagement initiatives including but not limited to designing, legalities, communication and fulfilment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Completed or enrolled in a post-secondary/training program with a focus on music, entertainment, digital media, or marketing.
  • Experience or knowledge in the talent management/influencer world.
  • Digital native and avid social media user (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, etc.) and knowledge about current trends on and off social media.
  • Proficiency on a design platform (eg. Canva) for social media design, reports, recaps and presentations.
  • Strong writing abilities with experience communicating to an online audience.
  • A curiosity to understand and identify trends in data.
  • Music lover and mega fan of at least one artist.
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing and motivated.

Nice to haves:

  • Creates content on social media (their own or for someone/thing else)
  • Knowledge with content management systems (CMS), Tableau and/or Tabular
  • Familiar with online music platforms/services (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)
