The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create. We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year.

As a PTP Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the PTP SSC team in ensuring that transactional PTP activities for SME European Entities are completed accurately & timely. You will collaborate closely with the PTP outsourced provider & the SME business & local finance teams.

The GFSS team work on a hybrid model with 2 days in the office per month. Our office is in the wonderful Elektrownia Powisle centre.

What you'll do:

Vendor Maintenance

  • Support outsource provider in successful & accurate completion of vendor master tasks.
  • Point person for SME business or local finance escalations & trouble shooting – liaising with stakeholders to resolve issues successfully.

Payment Processing

  • Ensure all payments for all vendor types (royalty, trade, intercompany) are on schedule & in line with expectations. Collaborate with Outsource provider & local finance team, to complete tasks.• Facilitate urgent payments, ensuring defined controls are maintained, liaising with local finance, SME business & outsourced provider as appropriate.

Invoice Processing

  • Processing all invoices on timely basis with the correct accounting to the systems.

Reconciliations

  • Open PO accrual reconciliations between internal Marketing & Recording Purchasing system (PRS), Basware (AP system) and SAP (GL); monthly for Basware - daily for PRS.
  • Support outsource provider in resolving any system interface issues & ensure all systems in synch

System Support

  • Perform user testing for system changes, as required
 

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Having knowledge of AP operations such as Vendor Master, Payment, Invoicing processes
  • Problem solving ability
  • Proactive self- starter
  • Flexible working style
  • Able to work on different mailboxes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work to strict time targets
  • MS Office proficient
  • Knowledge of SAP and Basware, Console is a plus
  • Able to make bank transfers
  • English and Polish language proficient - reading, writing, orally
