
Finance Director
Sony Music Sweden employs about 80 people who work daily to create, develop, market, and distribute music from both Swedish and international artists, covering a broad range of repertoire. Role Summary
As Finance Director, you will have overall responsibility for developing and driving Sony Music Sweden’s financial strategy, ensuring long-term profitability, and contributing to the company’s continued growth and development in a rapidly changing industry.
This role is a central part of the company’s management team and is a key role in the company’s ongoing development, with a special focus on analyzing the entire business, identifying new business opportunities, evaluating investments, and supporting decision-making at the highest level. You will work closely with the Managing Director, management team, and other key functions to ensure financial perspectives are integrated into all areas of the business.
What you'll do:
- Continuously analyze and evaluate company performance and develop financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Lead budget and forecasting processes and ensure effective financial planning.
- Identify and analyze business opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director and management team on matters of growth, investment, partnerships, and business development.
- Personnel responsibility for the Finance team in Sweden, consisting of five roles in accounting, business controlling, and royalties, as well as two additional team members in IT support.
- Lead and develop the Finance function with a strong focus on controlling and business analysis.
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting to management and other stakeholders.
- Continuously develop data-driven decision support and financial transparency.

- A good understanding of business models within media, entertainment, or similar industries is highly meritorious, as is experience working in a multinational organization.
- A university degree in economics, finance, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years' experience in qualified roles within finance, several years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience working closely with the business and contributing to strategic development.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large and complex data sets and decision support and drawing actionable insights from them.
- Fluent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written.
