Copy of Innovation and Development Coordinator

Europe, United Kingdom, London

As an Innovation and Development Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role in transforming business needs into powerful digital solutions that keep us at the forefront of the industry. Working closely with UK Release Planning and teams, you’ll leverage the Power Platform to design and build custom apps, automated workflows, and insightful dashboards that not only streamline our processes but also amplify our impact across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in low-code development while directly contributing to our success. Success in this role means delivering seamless, end-to-end solutions that make work easier, bring teams together, and empower everyone to make data-driven decisions. Ultimately, you’ll be helping us shape a more agile, responsive, and innovative organisation that moves in sync with our goals and vision.

What you'll do:

Building Solutions with Power Platform

  • You’ll spend a significant portion of your time using Power Apps to create custom applications, designing automated workflows in Power Automate to streamline processes, and building data-driven dashboards in Power BI. This will involve understanding team needs and translating them into innovative, low-code solutions that enhance productivity and decision-making. You'll focus on building intuitive, user-friendly solutions that simplify work and bring added value to our teams. You will also provide ad hoc support to the Senior Innovation Manager and Director in the testing and issue-resolution of their solutions.

Collaborating with Users and Stakeholders

  • Working closely with the UK Release Planning team and other global teams, you’ll gather requirements, demonstrate solution concepts, and align on priorities. This role requires clear communication with people at all levels, translating technical ideas into accessible language and helping stakeholders understand the benefits and functionality of new solutions. You’ll also gather feedback post-deployment to ensure ongoing satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Testing and Optimising Solutions

  • Once solutions are built, you’ll rigorously test them, troubleshoot any issues, and make refinements to enhance usability, speed, and reliability. This includes performing quality assurance checks, gathering feedback from initial users, and optimizing the functionality and performance of each app, workflow, or dashboard to ensure it works smoothly within the business context.

Documentation and Process Improvement

  • You’ll document the design, functionality, and usage of each solution to create clear and helpful guides for users and team members. Additionally, you’ll identify opportunities to enhance existing workflows, propose new ways to streamline processes, and contribute to process improvements, helping to establish efficient practices that benefit the entire team and business.

Learning and Skill Development

  • As the Power Platform and low-code tools are constantly evolving, you’ll dedicate time to learning new features, experimenting with different tools, and exploring best practices. This may include attending training sessions, completing certifications, or exploring online resources to stay updated and enhance your skills, which will empower you to bring fresh ideas and capabilities to your solutions.
  • You will also grow your knowledge of the Sony Music business and its structure, building relationships and gaining insight into our operations. As this develops, you will be able to use this knowledge to identify new areas where processes can be further strengthened.

Who you are:

  • You have a passion for the industry, and a strong interest in music.
  • You know your way around Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) and are excited to keep growing your skills.
  • Comfortable working with data sources like SharePoint and Excel to build connected solutions that make a difference.
  • A natural communicator who can work with people across different teams and levels, keeping things clear and easy to understand.
  • You’ve got a basic handle on coding and logic (Power Fx, JavaScript, or SQL) and are ready to jump into new challenges.

What we give you:

  • You join a vibrant global community with the opportunity to channel your passion every day
  • A modern office environment designed for you, empowering you to bring your best
  • Investment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community
