
Senior International Marketing Manager 12 Months FTC - AWAL
We are looking a Senior International Marketing Manager to join the team at AWAL for 12 Month Fixed Term Contract covering parental leave with an ideal start date in July 2025.
As part of this role you will be responsible for the marketing strategy and initiatives outside of the UK and North America for emerging, developing and established AWAL artists. You will have experience running a range of artist campaigns internationally and be familiar with planning, budgeting and executing creative campaign strategy.
You will have strong experience working closely with artists, helping them to achieve their creative vision and bringing forth ideas and concepts that will help them solidify their artist proposition as they push for cultural, commercial and critical success.
Fans and audience growth is at the front of your mind when planning campaigns. You will be comfortable identifying audiences in detail and creating bespoke strategies to reach and expand those audiences.

What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with UK and US marketing teams and international offices on implementing innovative marketing timelines and strategy.
- Set and manage marketing campaign international budgets
- Establish clear campaign objectives and targets for all key stakeholders
- Source and manage media promo partners for projects
- Work with internal teams, including A&R, Audience Development, Global Commercial Partnerships, Sync, Brand Partnerships, US and UK marketing, Global marketing teams and Operations teams as well as external partners
- Advise on digital marketing, advertising and social media strategies to maximise results, engagement and growth in conjunction with the Audience Development team
- Set and achieve streaming, sales, cultural and revenue targets
- Monitor and analyse performance of releases using an extensive suite of analytics and third party tools
- Formulate strategies to capture the attention of existing fans and new audiences for artists across multiple countries
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have the ability to build strong relationships with both artists / artists’ team and internal team members
- Consistent and effective in communications with both the artists/artists’ team and internal team members which adhere to AWAL’s values
- Successfully manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment and prioritise effectively
- Set campaign objectives and targets at the start of each campaign in collaboration with artist and internal teams
Who you are:
- You have 6+ years of music marketing experience at a record label, artist or label services company, or artist management company, or with applicable experience in another role
- Proven experience working on marketing strategy and campaigns across a range of genres and with artists at different stages of their careers
- You are familiar with the AWAL business model and the company values
- You have a solid understanding of the inner workings and deliverables required for the life cycle of global music releases, as well as digital and physical distribution, metadata and marketing
- You are comfortable hiring and working with third party promo teams and creatives teams/agencies
- You have great knowledge of the DSP landscape and how it affects your marketing campaigns
- You have an excellent understanding of international music markets and what it takes to market releases in a global marketplace
- You have great knowledge of the international media and retail landscape and how it affects marketing campaigns
- Experience implementing effective paid media advertising, creator marketing and an awareness on how to identify target audiences
- You have experience in devising and delivering local fan activations, creator collaborations and contribute content
- Knowledge of sub-cultures, media habits and niche behaviours.
- Proven track-record of augmenting audiences that are highly engaged.
