Digital Director - Columbia Records

Columbia Records are looking for a first class digital innovator to join their senior management team to shape the Label’s digital strategy.

Columbia has an exciting roster of developing, breaking and superstar artists. This enables us to implement a wide range of creative across campaigns.

You will lead the digital marketing team to drive our artists and their campaigns forward in the digital space, through innovation, trends, best practice and a deep understanding of the digital landscape.

Collaborating with the wider team to deliver the digital strategy of the Artists story including but not exclusively:

  • Brand Positioning
  • Communication Strategy
  • Content Strategy
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Data and Analytics
  • Media Buying
  • Digital Innovation and New Platform Opportunities

What you'll do:

  • Lead a talented Digital Marketing team to implement industry leading digital marketing campaigns and strategies for our Artists that continually expand fan bases across all key platforms
  • Collaborate with key clients and stakeholders including the marketing team, management and artists to develop strategy including the positioning and branding of a project and how that translates online
  • Work with the artist and social media teams (both internal and external) to plan comms strategies and deliver schedules and clear social media roll out plans
  • Oversee and implement all influencer marketing campaigns at the label, working to identify the best partnerships and new ways of marketing our records
  • Use analytics and work with the Analytics teams to help better understand the performance of our records and unearth new opportunities
  • Work with the marketing team to implement paid media campaigns and ensure best practice and optimisation
  • Identify new and external opportunities for artist promotion outside of traditional digital marketing activities
  • Drive innovation at the label and adoption of new platforms and strategies
  • Monitoring and understanding of digital impact on the streams and revenue, optimizing as we go
  • Develop and guide the digital marketing team so the team is consistently delivering best in class campaigns

Who you are:

  • You are an experienced, commercially focused digital marketing lead with proven experience operating and delivering at a senior level
  • You are proven leader and must have experience of running a department, building strategies and executing to the highest standards
  • An excellent communicator (both verbal and written) with the ability to present clearly and passionately to a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external)
  • A strong people manager who is able to inspire and engage their team to perform at their best and develop their digital skills
  • You possess strong critical reasoning/analytical skills and are able to balance with broad thinking, bringing creative solutions to commercial questions
  • You are collaborative and must be a team player, able to influence and drive cross functional work across the business
  • You are result/delivery oriented, comfortable working in a goal driven environment and being accountable for delivery
  • You are passionate about music and with a deep understanding of digital culture
  • You are resilient, with the ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
  • Digital & tech fluent - curious and excited about new technology and platforms that can help our artists communicate with and expand their audiences
