Our Global Finance Shared Services Centre plays a vital role in supporting Sony Music’s core business worldwide. The team delivers end‑to‑end finance services across a wide scope of activities, ensuring suppliers and artists are paid accurately and on time for the incredible work they create. By partnering closely with local finance teams across the globe, GFSS has a strong understanding of how the business operates and contributes directly to Sony Music achieving its annual goals.

As part of the RTR talent pool, you may be considered for future RTR Analyst opportunities. In these roles, you will be responsible for providing & ensuring the accuracy & completeness of transactional financial accounting services to regional Sony Music entities.

The GFSS team is based in our modern workspace at the Elektrownia Powiśle centre in Warsaw.

What you'll do:

GENERAL FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING

  • Ownership of global recurring monthly entries - confirming master data with local finance, preparing global model with monthly recurring financial entries for booking by outsourced provider
  • Oversight of other recurring entries prepared by outsourced provider, ensuring completeness & accuracy & managing any changes to master data or the process
  • Perform year end close in SAP for several SAP entities, collaborating closely with Global IS&T as required
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations applying detailed understanding of the process to ensure that balances are accurately stated in US & Local GAAP (e.g Leases, Bank, Fixed Assets)
  • Ensure BPC reporting is in line with Global Finance expectations for specific month end balances  & propose corrections based on detailed understanding of processes & master data
  • Provide guidance & support to Analyst on his/ her day to day tasks
  • Ad hoc tasks as required, including support with UAT of SAP system changes

TREASURY

  • Review loan reconciliations at month end, liaising with Analyst on any adjustments
  • Assist with approvals for foreign currency transactions & loan movements, as requested by local finance

INTERCOMPANY

  • Review specific Profit Loss & balance sheet accounts on global basis ensuring that balances eliminate & variances investigated

SYSTEM

  • Super user of SAP master data – action SAP- BPC mapping changes for new financial attributes (profit center, cost center) & point of contact for any SAP master data queries Ownership of booking year end allocations
  • Super user for SAP-BPC (consolidation system) & back up to outsource provider for monthly load, assisting outsource provider with any issues

Who you are: 

  • Minimum of (4) years of experience, preferably in a multi- national company
  • SAP experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred - in accounting/ finance
  • MS Office proficient
  • Problem solving ability
  • Proactive self- starter
