As Finance Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Global Finance team and selected functions within the Sony Music corporate organization. In this role, you will help ensure the efficient operation of dept administration while partnering with colleagues across departments and levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and analytical capabilities, comfortable use of technology , and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
What you'll do:
- Perform day-to-day administrative and accounting support activities, including among other tasks ordering supplies, submitting purchase and work requests, managing the quarterly certification process, maintaining the department vacation calendar, tracking staff timesheet information, supporting the onboarding of new employees, coordinating corporate credit card issuance, arranging company equipment, managing travel bookings and expenses, some coordination of larger group meetings
- You will learn and become proficient in the use of Sony Music’s purchase order system and be responsible for initiating vendor setup requests and verification, creating purchase orders, and ensuring processing of invoices for payment by the AP team. You will train and coordinate with other users of the system and become able to generate and analyze system reporting.
- repetitive you will collaborate closely with Global finance colleagues and corporate departments to support operational needs. This will include ad hocs projects which may include outreach to our affiliates across the world, and organization of collected data. You will provide assistance in analyzing information, including financial information, and generating reports and presentations.
Who you are:
- Some experience with and understanding of accounting and finance would be beneficial but not required.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, , and are able to quickly learn proprietary systems and other business tools. Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. A keen interest to learn is required
- You have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- You can demonstrate a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a team

New York Pay Range
$55,000 - $60,000 USD
