Order-to-Cash Supervisor - GFFS Mexico

The Global Finance Shared Service Center supports the core business with finance related matters, covering a wide scope of activities across the globe. We ensure suppliers and artists are paid on time for the amazing work they create.  We work closely with the local finance teams around the world which means we have an excellent understanding of how the company operates and are kept up to date with key developments in this exciting and fast paced industry. Our teams play a key role in ensuring Sony Music achieve their annual goals each year.

The Order-to-Cash Supervisor leads end-to-end revenue processing, reporting, and financial postings within the Shared Services organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely close. Oversees data validation, accruals, and system processing across multiple revenue streams while driving high data quality and resolving discrepancies. Partners with global stakeholders to standardize processes, implement improvements, and support scalable, efficient revenue operations.

What You'll Do:

Revenue Processing & Financial Integrity

  • Oversee end-to-end sales file processing (PP&B, Licensing, and Third-Party).
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Validate data integrity across systems (e.g., STARS, EROS, SAP) and resolve discrepancies proactively.
  • Monitor accruals, reversals, and adjustments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver timely and accurate revenue reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze revenue trends, variances, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring alignment with global deadlines and SLAs.
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting templates and dashboards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop a team of analysts, ensuring clear accountability and performance tracking.
  • Provide coaching, training, and onboarding support to build technical and process expertise.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and accountability.
  • Manage escalations related to revenue processing, reporting discrepancies, and system issues.
  • Provide clear and structured communication on issues, risks, and progress updates

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Lead initiatives to standardize and optimize revenue processing workflows across territories.
  • Drive automation opportunities (e.g., file ingestion, reconciliation tools, accrual consoles).
  • Collaborate with global teams to align on best practices and scalable solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times.

Transition & Global Projects

  • Support transitions of new territories or processes into the shared service model.
  • Participate in global transformation initiatives (e.g., licensing transition, system upgrades).
  • Ensure smooth knowledge transfer and stabilization post-transition.
  • Contribute to global governance forums and process alignment discussions.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience; music industry or other entertainment field preferred
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time productively
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to analyze and review information from several different sources (corporate systems)
  • Prior experience with SAP, Royalty Systems, and/or Sales Systems would be strongly preferred
  • Capable of working independently, while also integrating into a team environment
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Proficiency in English language required: reading, written, and oral
  • Experience leading or participating in projects
  • Experience leading and developing teams
