Supervising riggers interface with production for all asset needs related to rigging and animation. Supervisors inform and deliberate on asset decisions with clients and the other department heads on the production. Supervisors manage the entire rigging team including the lead, if applicable. Supervising riggers are required in all production touchbases, rounds, and client reviews. Supervising riggers will schedule and run internal rigging rounds as they see fit. Supervisors will work closely with the head of animation for the production to establish the animation style and language. Supervisors will establish priorities and deadlines for all assets, including casting amongst the team. Supervising riggers bid all asset work for the show.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of production experience at a 3D studio
- In depth knowledge of all aspects of rigging
- Expert sculpting ability for corrective blendshapes and/or facial shapes/phonemes
- Experience in Linux environment including shell navigation and scripting
- 3-5 years of leadership experience at a feature 3D studio
- Managing a large rigging team
- Strong communication skills both with clients and other internal departments
Bonus Qualifications:
- Leadership experience on both CG feature animation and Live Action VFX
- On set FACS acquisition experience
- Significant bidding experience on feature films

The anticipated base salary for this position is $129,000 - $175,000/yr. Benefits are per company policy: which include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, standard increases as applicable. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
