THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data & Analytics Lead to establish and drive a new Financial Data Center of Excellence (CoE) within the Finance function.                 

This role will shape the future of how financial data is governed, structured, and consumed across the business. 

You will play a key role in our multi‑year transformation program, including major system upgrades and migrations and consolidation of enterprise data into our Snowflake data lake (managed by the central IT Data Platform team).              

This role demands a uniquely strong combination of deep financial expertise and advanced data proficiency, ensuring the successful candidate can effectively navigate complex financial processes while architecting, governing, and optimizing modern data solutions.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  1. Build & Lead the Finance Data Center of Excellence
    1. Establish data standards, data models, and governance practices for all financial data domains.
    2. Develop documentation, data dictionaries, lineage mapping, and best practices.
    3. Promote data literacy and self‑service analytics across the finance community
    4. Serve as Finance’s data SME and partner to business teams, IT, and transformation programs
  2. Financial Data Architecture & Strategy
    1. Define the target‑state financial data architecture and guide its implementation.
    2. Work with IT to design data ingestion, integration, and transformation logic in Snowflake.
    3. Identify data gaps, quality issues, and process inefficiencies, lead remediation initiatives.
    4. Align data structures with evolving reporting, FP&A, and regulatory requirements
  3. System Migration Projects
    1. Act as Finance’s data lead for the migration to future platforms translating stakeholders' needs in clear and actionable data strategies
    2. Map finance master data and transactional data from legacy systems to new structures.
    3. Support testing, validation, and cutover for both data and reporting capabilities.
    4. Coordinate data‑related elements across other system upgrades (e.g., planning tools, billing, procurement).    
  1. Data Quality Ownership & Continuous Improvement
    1. Partner with IT and business units to ensure consistent, accurate, and reliable data flows
    2. Build monitoring dashboards and issue‑resolution processes.

                 

  1. Reporting & Analytics Enablement
    1. Develop analytical models and datasets to enable advanced insights for FP&A and Controlling.
    2. Work with Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
    3. Support automation and simplification of reporting processes through modern BI tools.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    1. Partner effectively with Product & Technology, Finance, and business teams to ensure alignment on data needs and priorities.
    2. Build strong relationships and develop a deep understanding of the organization’s operating model, processes, and decision-making frameworks.
    3. Act as a connector and translator, interpreting requirements from diverse stakeholders and converting them into clear, actionable data and reporting solutions.
    4. Create an inclusive, team-oriented environment that aligns teams and drives shared outcomes across functions.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  1. Strong experience in a finance, FP&A, data analytics, or finance systems role.
  2. Proven background working with enterprise data platforms, ideally Snowflake
  3. Solid understanding of ERP systems, particularly SAP (FI/CO, BW, master data).
  4. Experience with major system transformations and migrations.
  5. Hands‑on experience with SQL and data modelling and BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  6. Knowledge of financial processes such as planning, forecasting, consolidation, GL, AP/AR.
  7. Ability to translate complex financial requirements into robust data solutions.
  8. Strong communication skills enabling effective cross‑functional collaboration.
