
Staff Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly & annual closing and reporting for the distribution line of business
- Own Revenue Recognition and Accounts Receivable, including the reconciliation process between DSP reporting, our royalties system, and the general ledger
- Execute monthly reconciliations of all accounts associated with your respective business lines
- Track Cash and Marketing advance payments and recoupments, including ensuring that all recoupable expenses are accurately associated with an artist account
- Maintain General Ledger bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all P&L and balance sheet items within your respective business line
- Creating and processing outgoing invoices to customers and booking the receipt of associated cash
- Processing record label and music publishing invoices and payments
- Partnering with our FP&A department
- Collaboration with other teams on accounting matters/projects, acting as a proactive business partner
Experience and Background:
- 1+ year of experience in Accounting or Auditing, preferably in the Music industry
- Strong skills in MS Excel and good knowledge in the use of ERP systems (Oracle Fusion would be a plus)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambitious work environment in which colleagues are measured by outputs and not formalities
- Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to work are as much a part of your personality as your ability to work in a team and your strong sense of initiative
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
