QA Automation Engineer II, AIOps

The Software Development Engineer in Test (QA Automation) serves as a key contributor to the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality, reliable software products. Positioned within the AIOps Engineering org, this role is responsible for designing and implementing test automation strategies that align with the broader objectives of enhancing product stability and customer satisfaction. This role ensures seamless collaboration across development, product, and quality teams, directly supporting the company’s goal of achieving zero critical defects post-release and strengthening customer trust through a flawless user experience.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts to support scalable and efficient testing processes.

• Partner with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to define test requirements, objectives, and coverage plans.

• Perform UI and API testing using tools such as Playwright, ensuring robust verification of product functionality and integration.

• Utilize tools like JMeter or equivalent to assess and optimize system performance under various conditions.

• Contribute to Agile workflows, supporting continuous testing practices and quality improvements throughout the development lifecycle.

• Identify and resolve potential defects early in the development cycle to minimize customer impact and enhance product reliability.

• Create detailed test plans, report progress, and communicate issues and resolutions clearly to stakeholders.

• Take ownership of problems, drive them to resolution, and provide actionable insights for future improvements.

• Work effectively within a globally dispersed team to maintain consistency in testing standards and methodologies

We would love to hear from you if:

• You have 5+years of exp in software/product quality testing and 3+ years in building and enhancing test automation frameworks.

• You have technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript (1+ years).

  • Proficiency in automated testing tools/frameworks like Playwright.

  • Experience with API testing and load testing tools such as JMeter or equivalent.

• You have fluent English, with strong technical writing and communication skills.

• You have exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.

• You have advanced knowledge of Playwright and are familiar with jBehave and Java.

• You have experience with Agile testing methodologies, DevOps, and continuous testing practices.

• You have an understanding of the ITIL framework and IT Service Management.

• You are a self-starter who is eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• You have strong organizational skills, are able to manage competing priorities and work independently.

• You have demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.

• You have a sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.

This role is available in Bengaluru and will be hired into Amelia Global Services, a subsidiary of SoundHound AI. Our recruiting team will provide a total compensation range based on location and years of experience.
