Senior Compliance Manager, Enterprise Technology
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Manager to join our team and help ensure SoundHound adheres to in-house policies and legal privacy standards. You will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance within the company, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards and providing guidance on information security compliance and privacy matters.
A great Senior Compliance Manager is well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. They are professionals of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete their duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. The goal is to preserve the company’s integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course.
In this role, you will:
- Lead in Security Compliance Audits; task/gather evidence needed for audit controls; collaborate with external auditors to address issues and concerns
- Develop and oversee control systems, in alignment with SoundHound’s goals and regulatory requirements, to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and continuously improve them
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Keep corporate training on In-House Policies and Privacy up to date; monitor training completion
- Lead in Security Information Questionnaires and Vendor Management Onboarding
- Conduct risk assessments to identify risks and develop treatment plans
- Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify risks or non-conformity issues
- Draft, modify and implement company policies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor standards and regulations
- Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance, AI and privacy risks
- Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance, AI and privacy issues
- Stay up to date on regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
- Train and Mentor Compliance Specialists
We would love to hear from you if:
- Have 12 years of equivalent experience with a BS/BA in law, finance, business administration, related field or 8 years of equivalent experience with a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Regulatory Affairs, or a related field
- Have at least one of these certifications or equivalent: Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP), Governance, Risk & Compliance Professional (GRCP), or Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC)
- Have TPM (Technical Program/Project Management) experience
- Have knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
- Have excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- Are methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
- Have an analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
- Have demonstrated proactiveness and perseverance in complex environments

This position is available for remote work across most of the United States. SoundHound AI DOES NOT offer employment in Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Regardless of workplace arrangement, employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
