We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Ops Engineer to join our team at South Star. You will join our growing engineering and support team in our offices located in Navi Mumbai to help test and support cutting-edge solutions for the telecom industry.

The ideal candidate must have experience testing software applications within an agile development environment. The candidate must have experience with both manual and automated software testing across the development lifecycle which includes but not limited to functional, API, performance, usability, regression, and security testing. The candidate must have experience writing test cases, test plans, developing automation scripts, and assisting with release management to ensure the quality of the digital product(s) being released. The candidate must have the ability and desire to learn new testing / automation technologies and methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work in an agile environment and attend daily scrum meeting calls.
• Provide management and control of the quality assurance processes for assigned projects.
• Analyze requirements, identify & prioritize test conditions, able to address product risks and features to be tested and design test Plan/Set/Cases for testing features and releases based on that. 
• Perform QA review with functional, API, performance testing, usability testing, regression testing, security testing to ensure each feature is released with quality and in a timely manner.
• Provide test coverage report for every sprint. 
• Design test Plan/Set/Cases for regression testing and release check. Ability to independently run a release check and send the release check report.
• Troubleshooting & analyzing of incidents found or reported. Ability to provide root cause analysis (RCA).  
• Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically for different test levels like API and UI automation. 
• Develop UI automation in C#, NUnit, and/or Selenium with data-driven, keyword-driven framework.
• Develop API automation with C#, NUnit, and Postman.
• Stress testing with JMeter.
• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system.
• Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
• Write documentation in Jira(xray) for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
• Log and document bugs in the tracking system.
• Setup continuous integration.
• APM with Splunk & AppDynamics.
• Bridge between Dev, Support, Training, providing any support that needed.
• Deliver complete solutions in a timely fashion.

The position has the following requirements:

• BS, MS in Computer Science, Applied Math or related Engineering fields.
• 6-8 years of combined relevant work experience as highlighted below.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role.
• 3+ years of experience with automation design and development.

• Demonstrated knowledge in functional testing, API testing, performance testing, usability testing, regression testing, etc.
• Experience in developing automated scripts in C#, Java, and/or Python using Selenium web driver and have experience using Automation Test Frameworks.
• Working knowledge and experience with SQL.
• Working knowledge and experience using JIRA Bug Tracking tools.
• Working knowledge and experience of using Test Management tools.
• Nice to have knowledge of TDD, DDD, KDD, and BDD.
• Nice to have knowledge and experience with API testing.

• Must possess outstanding interpersonal and communications skills to successfully interact as a member of the QA Ops team and various development teams, support teams, training teams, and stakeholders.
• Release management experience is preferred.
• Completed the ISTQB foundation level certification/ISTQB Agile Tester certification is preferred.
• Experience with tools such as but not limited to Splunk, AppDynamics, TeamCity, JMeter, Xray(Jira) is a plus.
• Proactive and is passionateabout Software QA Testing. Understanding the importance of testing during the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
