Job Summary
South Star Software is seeking a MDM Administrator to manage and support the organization’s enterprise mobile and endpoint management environment. The role focuses on device onboarding, policy enforcement, compliance monitoring, application deployment, and user support across corporate‑owned and BYOD endpoints, using industry‑standard MDM/UEM platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Device & Endpoint Management
- Enroll, configure, and manage mobile devices and endpoints across supported platforms (smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops).
- Perform device lifecycle activities including provisioning, reassignment, remote lock/wipe, and decommissioning.
- Support both corporate‑owned and BYOD device models as per policy.
User Support & Ticket Handling
- Provide L1/L2 support for MDM‑related issues raised via ITSM tools.
- Troubleshoot common problems such as enrollment failures, app access issues, policy conflicts, and profile errors.
- Escalate complex platform, policy, or security issues to senior engineers with complete diagnostics and documentation.
- Assist with audits by providing compliance and inventory reports.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate device inventory and compliance records.
- Prepare regular reports on enrollment status, device health, and policy adherence.
- Create and maintain SOPs, user guides, and knowledge base articles related to MDM operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with any enterprise MDM / UEM solution.
- Good understanding of endpoint management concepts and device lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of mobile OS and endpoint platforms (smartphones, desktops, laptops).
- Basic understanding of directory services and identity management.
- Familiarity with enterprise security fundamentals (device compliance, access controls, authentication).
- Experience working with ITSM / ticketing systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have
- Exposure to conditional access or device-based access control concepts.
- Basic scripting or automation knowledge.
- Understanding of zero‑trust or modern endpoint security models.
- Relevant certifications in endpoint management or IT support.
