About the Role

Sovrn is looking for a motivated and strategic Account Executive to join our Buyer Development team, focused on agency and brand sales. This role will be on the front lines, driving new business by introducing Sovrn’s Exchange and Commerce Media solutions to media buyers. You’ll play a critical role in building agency awareness, securing adoption of our always-on PMP deals, and shaping Sovrn’s presence in the U.S. demand ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prospect and develop new business with agencies, independent trading desks, and brands.
  • Educate agency teams on Sovrn’s Exchange and Commerce Media Audience products, highlighting our differentiation in programmatic efficiency, unique publisher inventory, and commerce-driven data signals.
  • Build and manage a target list of priority agencies; execute outreach to drive awareness and adoption of Sovrn’s PMP deals and programmatic offerings.
  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, closing, and onboarding new agency accounts.
  • Collaborate with DSP partners and Sovrn’s DSP team to ensure Sovrn’s always-on deals are visible and easy to activate within agency DSP seats.
  • Manage pipeline and revenue forecasts with accuracy; report regularly on progress against targets.
  • Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams (Product, Yield, Marketing, Solutions Engineering) to deliver tailored solutions that meet buyer needs.
  • Represent Sovrn at industry events, agency meetings, and conferences to drive visibility and credibility in the market.
  • Provide regular feedback from agencies to inform deal creation, inventory packaging, and go-to-market strategy.

What Makes You Successful

  • 2+ years of sales experience in media, adtech, or agency sales (strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of agencies, independent trading desks, and the U.S. media buying ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with programmatic platforms (SSPs, DSPs, trading desks) and PMP deal mechanics.
  • Demonstrated track record of prospecting, building a pipeline, and closing new business.
  • Ability to clearly communicate Sovrn’s value proposition to both junior planners and senior agency decision makers.
  • Organized, self-driven, and comfortable owning ambitious new business goals.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to Sovrn’s growing Demand business.
  • Willing and able to travel 25-30% for client meetings, local events, and networking opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 in Colorado and $110,000 - $123,000 in New York, inclusive of base salary and any related bonuses, commissions, or variable compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
