About the Opportunity

As Sovrn’s People Experience Manager, you’ll be the hands-on practitioner responsible for the day-to-day administration of Sovrn’s People programs. You’ll sit at the intersection of people experience and operational execution—serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers while keeping People processes, systems, and programs running smoothly.

You’ll have an impact on how people experience Sovrn, from their first interaction as a candidate through onboarding and offboarding. You’ll do that by making the day-to-day flow well—delivering recruiting and employee lifecycle activities, running People programs and systems, and looking for ways to make them simpler and more effective. Many of our People processes were built for an earlier stage of the company, and you’ll help evolve them to meet the needs of Sovrn today.

Reporting to the Director of People, you’ll work closely with employees, managers, and internal and external partners to deliver a consistent, responsive candidate and employee experience and keep People operations moving.

What You’ll Do

Recruiting

  • Manage recruiting, including posting, sourcing, candidate screening, scheduling, pipeline progression, and offers within time-to-fill targets
  • Partner with hiring managers and interview teams on candidate profiles and evaluation criteria, interview design, search strategies, and timely decision-making
  • Provide recruiting support for agency-led searches, including setting up requisitions in the ATS, managing candidate pipelines, interview scheduling, and administering contracts and invoices
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience from initial contact through offer, including timely communication, onsite greetings and tours, and interview logistics
  • Administer and improve the ATS, including user access, job setup, workflows, templates, candidate data, and reporting, using recruiting metrics to improve process and candidate quality

Employee Lifecycle & People Operations

  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including offer letters, background checks and adverse findings, and reference checks
  • Deliver the new hire experience from preboarding and day-one logistics and communication through in-office greeting, orientation, and onboarding
  • Administer the HRIS and lifecycle transactions, maintaining accurate employee data and records and preparing and processing contract amendments, separation agreements, and offboarding documents
  • Coordinate immigration cases with external partners, managing documentation, communication, and timelines
  • Manage unemployment claims and employment verification requests
  • Lead the exit experience, coordinating offboarding with managers, conducting exit interviews, and synthesizing feedback to identify themes and opportunities
  • Coordinate independent contractor process, including agreements and amendments, system administration, and contractor onboarding and offboarding
  • Coordinate office operations, including vendors and lease renewals
  • Review, refine, and create global employment policies, employee handbooks, and required employment notices

Talent & Manager Enablement

  • Own the administration of Lattice, running engagement and performance cycles from planning through completion, including system configuration and maintenance, cycle timelines, employee communications, reporting, and participation tracking
  • Build and maintain practical resources and deliver manager enablement training, while coordinating more advanced training with external consultants, covering key management activities including writing career tracks and job descriptions, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding

People Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate People data, records, workflows, and configurations across HRIS, ATS, Lattice, and other People platforms, identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve People processes using technology and AI tools
  • Coordinate People vendor administration, including contracts, invoices, and renewals

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience across talent acquisition and people operations, including full-cycle recruiting and the employee lifecycle administration
  • Experience administering HR systems, including system configuration, workflows, data, reporting, and user support
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve issues while looking for opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve processes
  • A track record of building trusted relationships with candidates, employees, managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners built through credibility, reliability, and genuine care for people
  • An approachable and empathetic communication style that helps candidates, employees, and managers feel comfortable asking questions, raising concerns, and seeking help
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain People processes and policies clearly and in plain language
  • A high degree of discretion and confidentiality when handling confidential candidate and employee information
  • Knowledge of employment practices and compliance requirements across the US and Europe, with the ability to identify when an issue requires escalation
  • Experience using AI tools to automate or improve operational workflows
  • SHRM-CP or similar certification preferred
