Software Developer (TS/SCI CI Poly) (5303) (Chantilly, VA; Herndon, VA; Aurora, CO)
SMX has an immediate opportunity for a Software Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to our customer's challenging project and one who will thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs. With a team of system and software engineers in a fast-paced environment you will be an integral part of Intel Community programs.
This role is on site Monday - Friday in either Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO. This position requires the Security+ certification and an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java Utilize Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts for deployments.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize Jira for project management and tracking.
- Apply standards and protocols to ensure compliance and security.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Clearance: TS/SCI CI Polygraph
- On site support Monday - Friday in Chantilly, VA, Herndon, VA or Aurora, CO
- Security+ certification
- Experience in Java development utilizing various libraries such as SpringBoot, Mockito, Lombok, OpenAPI (Swagger) and other similar libraries developing RESTFul services.
- The software application I is managed through Git and built using gradle.
- Other third-party applications that are utilized is Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ and/or NiFi.
- Applications are containerized and deployed to a Kubernetes cluster using Helm Charts.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experiences with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is also desired.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$110,800 - $184,700 USD
