Who We Are: 
Space Kinetic is a cleared, venture-backed startup focused on addressing urgent national security priorities. Our goal is to deliver a suite of asymmetric capabilities for space superiority and missile defense leveraging our proprietary electromechanical deployment system, which enables the rapid deployment of low-cost payloads through space without firing a thruster. Space Kinetic is currently assembling its TRL-5 prototype. Our goal is to leverage this platform to provide the United States with a new tool for securing the space domain & catalyzing the emerging space economy. 
 
What You’ll Do:
Are you a skilled professional with a solid background in CNC machinery maintenance? If you have a knack for problem-solving, an eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring smooth and efficient machine operations, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.  We're in search of a dedicated CNC Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. Your role will be pivotal in setting up the facility and maintaining our high-tech CNC machines to ensure our production runs smoothly.

What It Takes: 

  • Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuild) on all machines;
  • Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams and drawings;
  • Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines;
  • Able to work with complex CNC machine up to & including 5 Axis;
  • Perform machine leveling and alignment on all machines;
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary;
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls;
  • Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues;
  • General facilities maintenance;
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work;
  • Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions;
  • In conjunction with production team, will support continuous improvement of development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures;
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Minimum of three year’s experience in performing maintenance of CNC machines;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus 10+ years of CNC maintenance experience.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
